I had the privilege of meeting fellow fashion blogger Alyssa Surrett of A-listed this past weekend when we were out sailing the Hudson River. I’ve been a huge fan of her blog since I first checked it out back in 2008 for not only her great fashion sense but her awesome instagram shots as well! Check it out here!

Cardigan: Free People, Shirt: Gap, Jeans: Vince, Shoes: Zigi Girl (can also try this) , Sunglasses: old (try this), Necklace: NEED Supply old (try this), Rings: vintage/Mexican Jewelry store/ASOS sold out (try this), Nails: c/o W Magazine (Elegant Touch Nails in Deep Blue)
TIP: Nude is the new black. Just like black, nude matches anything!

Sweatshirt: vintage (try this), Skirt: American Apparel, Shoes: Vince Camuto old (try this), Hat: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses: old (try this), Bracelets: vintage/flea market/House of Harlow, Rings: vintage/flea market/ASOS sold out (try this), Nails: Sally Hansen Garter Toss
TIP: Add a chiffon skirt to your wardrobe. It will always come in handy whether you need to dress it up with heels or dress it down (like I did here with a sweatshirt). It can be worn from season to season and is a timeless basic you can hold onto for years to come!

Dress: H&M recent (also try this), Socks: American Apparel (Citadel colorway), Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, Neon Laces: Sof Sole, Sunglasses: old (try this), Necklace: H&M (also try this), Bracelets: KISMET vintage and LotusStone, Rings: vintage/ASOS sold out (try this), Lips: MAC Morange, Nails: Sally Hansen Duchesse Lace
TIP: Update basic shoes with contrast color shoelaces. Academy offers really cheap laces in great neon colors (link above)!

Blazer: BCBG old (try this), Sweater: vintage (try this), Shirt: Old Navy old (try this), Jeans: BDG Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Dolce Vita, Scarf: Banana Republic old (try this), Gloves: Ethos (also try), Purse: Ozzy and Deena, Sunglasses: old (try this), Earrings: KISMET vintage, Rings: vintage/flea market/LF Boutique, Nails: Urban Outfitters DJ
TIP: A great way to dress up any otherwise dull blazer is by adding leather to it! You can buy leather in a contrasting color and take it to a tailor to have them sew on patches like shown on this BCBG blazer here. Or have them create a contrast lapel!

Shirt: American Eagle old (try this), Belt: ASOS, Pants: Forever 21 old (try this), Boots: Aldo old (try this), Sunglasses: old (try this), Necklace: RJ Graziano (recent Bloomingdales purchase), Bracelets: vintage/flea market/Urban Outfitters/House of Harlow, Rings: vintage/LF Boutique, Lips: MAC Morange, Nails: Revlon Minted
TIP: Take a neutral earthy palette (like Grey/Army Green/Cream shown here) and add a bright, bold colored accessory to create an interesting contrast!
